The following was originally written to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement on April 9, 2006.  It has been ever so slightly changed in celebration of our one-year marriage anniversary on October 7, 2008.  On October 7, 2012, a video flashback was added . . .

Remembering  . . .

On 4//9/06, we were in New York
Outside Tiffany’s, they all gathered to see
As I got down on my knees, and looked in your eyes
And asked “Will You Marry Me?”
Without hesitation, you said “yes, of course”
And my heart nearly skipped a beat.
For I knew, in this union, for both of us
It would mean a life more complete.

Time goes by, as it always must do
And we still hold each other so dear
I hope that the love and support that we give
Will go on, always, year after year.

Dear Concetta, please know, you will always remain
My soul mate, my lover, my friend
And no matter the choices I make in my life
